OrderHawk Acoustic
OrderHawk Acoustic is an
appliance which arrives ready
to install on your network. We
provide the appliance, install
and configure the boards, and
test the system using sample
data that you provide. We send
you a sample output file to
ensure the data is mapped
correctly for your host system.
No 202 Modems!
OrderHawk Acoustic uses
leading edge technology which
eliminates the need for external
202 modems. Our system uses
a board which has combined
data and voice capabilities.
Simply plug your phone line
directly into the back of the
appliance.
Voice Confirmation:
Like legacy data receiving
systems, OrderHawk
Acoustic provides a voice
confirmation number to
customers upon
successful receipt of
their order. If the order
is not received successfully,
the customer is directed to
re-transmit.
Remote Support:
OrderHawk Acoustic includes a
remote support feature which
allows us to troubleshoot, and
provide updates directly to
your appliance.
Supported terminals:
Include Telxon PTC-610, PTC-
710, Symbol PDT-1475
and Cipherlab acoustic devices.
Direct Connect
Direct Connect is a Novex-
hosted solution which allows
users to send their orders over
the internet using an Active X
Window and the serial port on
their terminal. Orders are
received by the system and
then forwarded to you in
whatever data format you
require for your back end
system.
The user clicks the link on
their PC which opens the
Direct Connect portal. The
user then connects the
terminal to the PC and sends
their data just like they would
normally.
Luckily for Telxon users,
their order data is
automatically sent through
the serial port and the
acoustic speaker at the
same time so no
changes are required on
the terminal.
Upon successful receipt of
the order, Direct Connect
provides an on-screen
confirmation number to the
user to ensure the order was
received by the server.

OrderHawk Mobile
This is a full feature order
receiving solution which is
also a Novex-hosted solution.
It provides multiple modules
for the different ways you
receive customer orders.
Two of these are:
Web Order Entry: for
customers with PCs with
internet access. The web
interface is easy to use and
provides the wholesaler
special features such as tools
to create booking campaigns
and vendor advertising.
Let manufacturers pay for
your system by selling them
advertising space on your
web ordering system.
OrderHawk’s Mobile
Client: is specifically
designed for hand held
terminals with the Windows
operating system. This
application can be used by
customers or by sales
representatives who visit
multiple customers throughout
their work day.
